Hey guys, just finished my board. It took a little longer, but I'm pleased and everything is working fine lol.

Nice job!! I’m in the middle of finishing up mine too but of course, I ran into some wiring issues. Lol

I have some soldering skills so wiring the whole thing wasn't the problem, but finding the proper lether was the pain lol...

I had wired a bunch of cables and was using a planet waves tester....which ended up not working properly. So I pulled out my multi meter and used that. Then I decided to test them by plugging a guitar in and sound checking them. I wasn’t digging the capacitance I was hearing so I went back and started from scratch again with a better grade cable. My soldering skill are acceptable enough, but obviously I’m getting better and better at it now. Lol 🙃

I never used cable tester, just proven brand cables, Mogami 2524 and Klotz AC106, Switchcraft and Neutrick jacks...testing them with guitar one at the time and I'm good to go. Don't hear any tone loss. One thing, I always use tuner as a first pedal in the chain, cause of the Boss buffer in it, really helps with long cables, no tone degradation whatsoever.

Awesome job! I need to build another one as I need more space.

Thanks. Yeah, I made this one cause the last one became obsolete, and was flat, so reaching for the top line of pedals was a pain. I hope this one will keep me satisfied fol a longer run lol.

Egad, another 16 ton wooden pedalboard!!! My old back couldn't handle it... But... it looks great, and should survive the apocalypse along with the cockroaches! Nice work shaja. Different topic, I'm curious, what wah pedal are you using? gtrjunior and I have found that Dunlop crybaby wah's that aren't true bypass can really impact the tone of your Splawn when they're off (and not in a good way). The buffers aren't so good. I moved to a Crybaby Classic which is TB and then moved on to a Colorsound clone which is also TB. Just FYI, YMMV...

Thanks. The board frame is alder and elm and is not too heavy, but is really sturdy. On the wah topic, it's an old 535q and it's been fixed a few times. I replaces the inductor for a red fasel, potentiometer also and removed two resistors on the input side, R41 and R42. Those two caused the tone suck. Their purpose was to eliminate the pop noise, but robed the tone significantly. 535q is wired for the TB, but those resistors caused the problem. There are no pop noise whatsoever without them and tone is the same as a pedal is out of chain.

I have a 'boomerang' circuit in my wah and it is housed in a Cry Baby shell. It has kind of a weird sweet spot but it works for me. I'm still rockin the Pedaltrain Pro. I like the fact that I can pick it up in the middle with one hand to vacuum underneath haha

I never tried "boomerang", but from the clips it sounds great. I like 535q cause I can control Q control down for that less in your face effect, kinda like older Satch, and the boost is great.
