My Son has a 2009 Nitro. which sounds killer. I damn near bought one in 2009 but was talked into the QR instead.
It had a couple issues.
I replaced C11 with a .047uf cap as it had a 2.2uf in that position giving the amp far too much bass. Even if sitting around home playing without a band the depth and bass had to nearly be off.
This Nitro sits right in the mix and is a joy to play. I may make a couple more tweaks as with the bass reduced to where it should be the gain is exposed and can be a little , just a little bit of fizz so I will choose the appropriate cathode stage and raise the bypass cap value to a 25uf - 220uf which is a great way to add clarity. (just in one position, something I learned from Mark Cameron).
I may pick up a Nitro soon for my collection. In the mean time I keep modding Marshall's to High Gain Pandora's and MorningStar's.
