Alright! I got the last of the cables made today. Tomorrow I’m going to spend some time neatly routing the cables and attaching the pedals to the board. I really want to take my time with this step. It’s important that it doesn’t end up a complete mess of wires like every pedalboard I’ve ever had. Lol

All the pedals are attached....next step is routing the cables neatly.

All of the cables are made, and the pedals are attached to the board. The routing isn’t quite as neat as I would have liked but if I’m being realistic, deep down I knew it wouldn’t be. But at least the cabling is cinched down so it isn’t moving. I’m sure I’ll find that something is wired incorrectly...lol I still may decide to go back and try to get it neater, idk. Maybe I can come up with something to either cover the cable cluster or maybe some type of sleeve run the top few through and hide the lower tier? I’m open to suggestions!!

That looks awesome! Great job. I think you tested each cable before right? I didn't lol and when the signal wasn't coming through.....it was a nightmare to pinpoint which cable was faulty lol

I’m keeping my fingers crossed Tonight I just need to wire up the power to each pedal and then I should be able to test it.

Thanks!!
I tested it out last weekend and something is not quite right with it. I’m fairly certain that I have all of it wired correctly. But there seems to be a certain way that it needs to be routed through the switcher itself that I don’t have correct. Certain pedals get routed in front of the amp and others through the Fx loop. And that’s where I’m not sure how to separate the two. Luckily I have a friend that has this same switcher and he is coming by the house this weekend to take a look at it for me. I’ll have him give me a quick tutorial on setting it all up to do what I want it to as well. Fingers crossed!!!

Wow, just found this thread, it looks great!!!
Did you use velcro to attach them? Just wondering.
How much does that beast weigh? The wood looks fantastic and it'll be solid but man it looks like it weighs 16 tons especially with the wooden case.

Nope...no Velcro here. I used these: rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F201424556197There was a few pedals that these attachments didn’t work with for a variety of reasons. For those pedals I screwed in a couple of eye hooks and used zip ties to hold them in place. I have no idea what this weighs. But before this I was using a pedaltrain pro, which of course is lighter than wood but at that time I was using much more pedals. I was able to sell a bunch of modulation pedals (chorus, flange, phase etc) and instead get all of that and more with the Strymon Mobius. So all in all, this board is probably only a little heavier than my last board.

Ok, I just got some confirmation that I have wired some of my board incorrectly. Not a big deal though. There are 2 sets of 4 in/outs. You can send one set of 4 to the front of the amp and the other set to the Fx loop. Apparently the first set is supposed to be the pedals going to the front and I have them wired for the loop. So tomorrow I’ll reroute and hopefully not have to make more cables (but I may...depends on whether the current lengths will still work. I’m betting they will with a little rearranging).

I re-assembled a portion of the board today and I’m glad to report success. Unfortunately I’ll need to resolder some of the cables with different jack ends so that they fit into the switcher properly. And of course I don’t have enough on hand. So I placed an order for what I need and I’ll have to wait until they arrive to finish up the board. Hopefully it just needs a couple more hours of work. Then comes the arduous task of figuring out how to program this thing. Then of course there’s the midi.... What have I gotten myself into!?!?!? Lol

If you haven't placed your order yet, I have some pancake style jacks i could mail you a few. Probably take 5 to 7 business days though.
