So I traded my splawn 2x12 and before I gave it to the guy, I planned to take out my creambacks and put them in x pattern with my evh greenbacks in my purple cab. Well to my surprise, the creambacks were 8 ohm!!! I thought they were 16 ohm lol. So I couldn't pair them with my EVH's because they are 15 ohm.
So I bought 2 celestion greenbacks used and put them in x pattern with creambacks! Holy crap they sound awesome together!! Honestly these greenbacks have tighter mids than the evh ones. They are 25 watt and the evh were 20. Very pleasantly surprised!😁

I think they sound like greenbacks no? Anyways, I was in a hurry as usual and bought them locally for $100.

$100 each. Not bad still. That's like $80 US. I sold my evh greenie for $110. Still have one left to sell.

Still hard to beat the old G12M! Will make an interesting mix for recording, you'll be able to get cool blends of the two types.

I am loving this combo. My Splawn has never sounded so good. The gov and manowar are good combo too. I prefer the celestions by a hair but both are awesome.

Yeah I use that exact combo, one each, in my rig. Creamback in my Street Rod and greenback in my 1x12 extension cab.
The greenies seem to be a bit edgier, the Creamback has a more pronounced lower midrange if I had to characterize it. Together they sound wonderful!
