I finished building a homemade pedalboard. I purchased pancake 90 degree jacks with good quality cable for a total of only $35 at our local electronics store. I added loop and input sockets to bottom of board also.
The signal with these cables is so much stronger than the Boss cables I was using before. I knew they were sucking tone but didn't realize it was that much!!🤤

Boss ns2 = great pedal. Are you using it in the loop?

No i am using it at the end of chain going into amp. It is a good pedal indeed. I have only the delay and chorus in loop.

You can fit WAY more pedals on that thing...you’ve got a lot of work to do still....lol

Lol yeah i know. But i find the more pedals i hook up, tone signal gets less. Less = more 😉

In a couple of weeks I should have a pedalboard thread too. I’ve been working on one for a while now. It’s built, stained and lacquered. I just need to overcome a few internal mounting issues. It has a lift up top and inside I’ll have a power strip to plug everything in as well as a pedal power supply source. With the exception of the patch cables everything will be (hopefully) neatly tucked inside the board. The board and the QR will be all controlled by a switching system. I’m soldering all my own cables so they will be the perfect length for all of the boards needs. It’s been a LOT of work.

I’m thinking I might make a jig to make soldering the cables easier. Just something that can hold bother the jack and cable steady until I can get a decent bead on either the lead or shielding. I have a little stand with an alligator clip that can hold things but the cable will be too heavy and the stand is too wimpy to hold much anyway.

I used a cardboard box and poked a hole in it and stuck the jack in there.

Try running the Boss ns2 in the 4 cable method. Cleans the loop and the amp at the same time. I notice a little lift in the Highs but nothing terrible. Nice set up

Thanks! I have tried that already. I don't need to use the NS2 with my purple QR. Dead quiete. I do need it though with my black one. I think it's because there is a computer in same room as black one.

I have the ISP G string in my QR board though. My Marshall board had the NS-2 (it’s currently disassembled.) ☹️
