FWIW - I have a Super Distortion in my Strat and a Custom Custom in my Schecter. Really dig the Custom Custom.

My custom 212 cab came in like 3 weeks IIRC.

The Custom Custom is on my short list of pickups for the guitar. As well as the Suhr Aldridge set.
I really like the Double cream look but I’m pretty sure Dimarzio has that on lockdown.

Guitarjnr I just checked out Splawn site and saw your guitar! I was thinking daphne blue was a darker blue like navy but it is the same color as my warmoth! 😁 When my buddy ordered mine from Warmoth, they list it as "sonic blue".

I am going to move the killswitch today and show you a pic when done.

Ok just finishes moving switch. Took me an hour and a half because I needed to route the hole a little bigger and finish with a file and re-solder 4 wires. I like it much better. More room and easier to get at button.

Do you feel like grabbing the volume knob is still accessible in that position?
How accessible is the kill switch for your right hand? Not necessarily for whammy dives, like we talked about but rather is it right there for the Randy Rhodes stutter effect? Or would you reposition it if you could?
I was thinking earlier today that I might ask Scott to do it just like you have it here. I just may want to tweak the kill location.
Also, I’m assuming the kill switch doesn’t get in the way like a volume knob in that position? Your fingers probably would just glide over it?

No the killswitch is very flat and low. My hand never touches it now. The location is perfect for Randy stuff but for dives with kill effect....you have to use pinky or ring finger.

The volume is great where it is! I actually prefer it there over anywhere else.

I think you should set it up like this unless Scott can put it up further like Wolfgangs.

For most of my guitar playing life I have played non trem guitars. I have always done the RR effect with my LP’s and I definitely still wan to do it it with the SS1. But for me I’m not even sure about using a whammy bar never mind adding the RR effect!! Lol sounds like not would be hard to dive bomb steadily while pressing the button?

Lol yeah it takes a little getting used to but not difficult. It sounds so cool and you can come up with differents tricks with it.
