I had a dream last night that put 2 - G12H30s in an X pattern in my Mesa Traditional. You should make that a reality!!

I spent a little time this afternoon installing the WGS into a Marshall cab I bought a few weeks ago from a guy on CL. I plugged the Blackstar into it and played for a little while. The speakers absolutely need to be broken in. But the Blackstar sounded a bit better with these speakers compared to the Quickrod. But the Blackstar is a darker amp too. At least these speakers can be used with my Blackstar setup.

I've pretty much hated them in everything I've tried them in, just harsh in your face ugliness. YMMV of course!

I agree about them not being a good fit with older Splawns but Scott is selling cabs with creambacks and v30's together these days. The newer Splawns are more compatible with the harshness and stiffness i guess?
I know my new QR's feel way more spongy than my older ones did.

I saw that on the website too. Fwiw, my QR is a 2016 and I didn’t like it with the WGS V30 version...then again, what do I know. lol

I recently purchased 4 of the mojotone watch tower speakers and they are awesome. I have 2 4x12's a/b and put them in an x pattern in both cabs with 2 original 70's greenbacks. The cabs are tighter and the bass response is greatly improved, smooth and no harshness, actually with the Splawn I had to up my mids and treble. Check the out they are on reverb cheaper than mojotone site.... My old 79 Marshall MV sounds great through them as well.
