I think I’ve found the sweet spot!!
Just played for about 15 minutes after biasing....FINALLY it sounds like I wanted it to all along! I’m completely blown away.
I’ve read tons of posts here on this very forum where people have said that they bias on the low 30mA range....I don’t care how many times I read it, I didn’t believe that was high enough.
I’ve always had a JCM 800 and that gets biased at 70%. There was NO WAY in my mind that 30mA was gonna cut it.
Looks like I was wrong!

Yeah man...,I’m blown away with how good this sounds now.
That’s the eurotubes probe. Iirc it was about $100. Worth every penny.

I already bought tubes from both Scott and Tube Depot.
I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with them (tube depot). And I typically have the tubes within 2-3 days of ordering. Last order was “marked as shipped” about 30 minutes after I placed the order. It didn’t get picked up by the USPS until the next day but still...
