Briman, Nice! They both work, but personally I'd have to go with the Purple chickens for style points. =) The traditional knobs just blend in and have a "washed out" appearance, nothing wrong with that of course. I prefer how the purple stands Out and adds a dimension of depth to the amp =) Another option, something I personally think would look outstanding on your particular amp, is going with Orange chickens on that bad boy, Orange , for some crazy contrast and "pop" factor. The Purple chickens look great!@!@ love it! Cheers, Tom

Hey Tom! Thanks for your opinion. That is the way i am leaning also. I like both but find the vintage knobs look more "plain". I think i will leave the chickens on! Also it'not fun changing them as the vintage ones require flat head screwdriver and there is not much room there so you have to angle the screw driver in there and risk stripping it. At least the chickens require allan key but very tedious to do also as you can only do a half turn at a time.

I went with the chicken heads simply because it's so much easier to see the settings. Especially on a dark stage.
Btw...are those you're current settings?

Hey Gtrjunior! Yes those are my current settings. I haven't changed them since i got the amp back in December. The b+ voltage is on all the time also for me. I find there is alot of bass compared to my 2015 QR upstairs. Alot more gain as well. That is why i have the bass dialed low. On my 2015, everything is at 12 o'clock and it is close to what the purple monsters tone is ....just not as spongy feeling due to b+ option.

For starters that is a badass amp . I prefer the vintage Marshall knobs. For chicken head knobs I would go with black

I like the chickenhead knobs, they really set that amp apart from standard the marshall look. I reckon gold ones would look cool also!

Thanks guys. I am going with the chicken heads. If i change my mind down the road, i can always put the standard ones back on.

chickenhead knobs FTW Now THAT's a great idea, makes it easier on a dark stage to make adjustments... a long line of gold knobs can be a pain when you're under gig duress! As far as the original question... I don't know man, the purple chicken head knobs definitely add to the style but for me it's purple overload! The gold with the purple looks really sharp.
