I did not have a chance to grab my quickrod, so I had to use my F******* lol Mostly bcs one is getting retubed and the other I'm not digging the tubes, so I'm not playing it. I made a quick video during sound check w/ my #1. Hope y'all like it. m.youtube.com/watch?v=zkHDOsK8bVs

That BE sounds awesome! Nice Playin' man! Oh and that blue Charvel just didn't play as well as any of the others. I also learned I'm not a fan of the strat output jack location.

I like the silver one....what is it?headstock looks like an Ibanez but I'm not sure Thanks! That's a modified Ibanez RG-1570 Prestige. Added pickguard, replaced knobs, installed locking trem studs, MHD Asylum+ bridge pickup. That's my standard tuning guitar, the rest are all 1/2 step down. I do the same thing.... I have standard tuning guitars, 1/2 step down and whole step down. It's just easier that way!! lol

Dude, that PRS is sweet. I love the finish on it. It's gorgeous. Thanks man! PRS guitars are killer, they can be pricey but we'll worth the money. I've always wanted to buy one with a floyd but could never afford one, so I installed them myself. But now that they are more popular you can get ones with floyds for fairly cheap. PRS guitars are super addictive and for me one is never enough. Try one out when you get the chance!

I'm assuming if I were to be in the market to buy one, the CE is what to look for? The SE is the lower model?

I'm assuming if I were to be in the market to buy one, the CE is what to look for? The SE is the lower model? Honestly SE are not for me.. they are a lower end PRS and made in Korea. The CE line just got reintroduced again. All CE guitars are usually the 22 or 24 fret models that are bolt on and we're the affordable modes of the custom 24 as the one you see in my picture. There's a difference between the new CE models and old CE models, my two CEs are a 87/88 and a 92. All old model PRS usually come with a one piece milled tremolo, alder body and maple bolt on neck with a rose wood finger board. The reason I bought mine was because of the all maple necks which is a bit rare. But as far as what I would recommend would have to be a custom24 which is what I have in the picture. The customs usually have a mahogany body w/curly maple cap or what ever may be on it.. with a mahogany set neck w/rose wood finger board. That's what I like. Some vary in price due to what it has that's special. Core model 24s might be cheaper but they won't have what's called a "10" top (number 10 found on the back of the head stock in the top right hand corner) this specifies that your guitars top is a higher grade or figure. Any PRS under 94ish will have a one piece mill tremolo, and most old PRS guitars will have the smaller neck heel. Both of my CE24s have the smaller heels as to both my 96 custom24s have the bigger heels, I don't have a problem with the bigger ones bcs they are not that much bigger. Most any older 24s will have the HFS pickups, that stands for hot, fat, and screaming, which by the way freaking rocks for heavy music. The new CEs are not worth the money, the CE line originally was a poor man's PRS, thus the bolt on neck. But the new ones have a bolt on neck, the tremolo is the kind that's on the SE, which is made in Korea and just sucks! And though the top looks like it has a normal custom24/ old CE top but is actually somewhere in between mine and a SE flat top. Also you don't get the carves around the knobs as you see on mine and it's not recessed at the back cavity plates. But I will admit that the new CEs have great pickups, the 58/15s. HFS pickups sound great with the custom 24 but sound horrible in a CE model made of alder. Too bright and sharp sounding. So the new pickups on the new CEs sound fantastic. If I was you I'd go for a custom 24, they are the best! I've picked up mine used for $1600 each but have seen them for much less. You'll love them.

That's great information!! I was aware of the various modes you mentioned but didn't know the differences...now I do! I much prefer the mahogany/maple combo, it's just thick sounding and probably very similar to my Les Paul.
