Don't know...I saw them on another board (the gear page) and thought it looked like a good idea. Some of the board members brought up some concerns...speakers interacting differently since they aren't making contact directly with the baffle....etc.
When I play live I have a floor wedge monitor that I can run a little guitar in if needed but yeah, if you can point your speakers up from the floor, it seems like it would help too.

I think it all depends on the type of wood used for the baffle. Is it a decent 'Tone Wood'? That's a joke
