Hey guys! A wile back I installed a Bare Knuckle Mule into my 96 custom24. At first I really didn't like it but once I started learning to play some classic rock riffs, I quickly found the mule to be the perfect pickup for the job. I made a video to kinda demonstrate the pickup with this particular guitar. This is one of my bands songs, enjoy! m.youtube.com/watch?v=mqyd6J4DBS0

I did notice the low E string needs more definition, probably need to raise the pin screw on the pickup.

Yeah it's meant to be like an 800. To me it sounds like the ultimate 81'-84' 2203 tone that were on all the rock albums in the 80s. If you turned down the treble and dimed the mids on those particular versions you would get that big mid range bark like the QR's have. Think the lead tone on Judas Preist's Painkiller album or practically any bar-rock from Australia at that time. Edit - here's a good example: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pE5Or_XQW2I

My buddy called me last night and said he just bought a 81 jcm800 2203! I'll get to try it out this Friday, and get to really turn it up! I'm contemplating on bringing my qr, but I don't know bcs he's so excited about it his new amp lol.
