Hi guy's. I have been gone a while. I ordered a Quickrod in 2009 and had trouble getting along with it. My son now has a 2009 Nitro that just kills!
So I had the opportunity to buy a Splawn modded Marshall Re-Issue 1959 Plexi. I am really looking forward to comparing it to the Nitro, Friedman BE 100 gen 1 & gen 2, Cameron Snorkler, Diezel VH4. These were the keepers. I went through a bunch of fizzy amps. The video from the seller sounded great...with a little more highs (scooped) i guess than my 2009 QR.
No disrespect meant. Best to all, New Religion...♫

After reading I realize the Scott modded Marshall 1959 SL belonged to a fellow member... "AndyK". Great guy to deal with. Thanks Andy. David...♫
SORRY I tried to insert a Youtube video but it continues to read Error.

Cool man, from what I hear they are some bad ass amps! I myself have a Friedman modded super lead BE/HBE and I love it. I would love to play a Splawn modded plexi.

I am diggin' the Scott modded Marshall SLP 100...
It has the 2 channel's Clean and OD with OD 1 & OD 2 in addition to a solo Boost with a 3 button foot switch.
Think I will take it with me tonight and put it through a 4 hour gig with my Live rig which consist of a "J" model December 2015 Friedman BE 100 (Primary gigging amp) and my Plexistein DH-50 (reversed engineered but with a lot of my own changes to eliminate the Cantrell honk) Mark Cameron inspired Snorkler built for Armand Crump (RIP) Slayer Tech.
I usually never use the clean channels of any amps as I roll back the guitar volume knob to clean up for Simple Man etc...to full up Man in the Box etc...
Scott did a great job on this SLP Reissue...I prefer it over the 2009 QR I owned as we all know each amp can be quite individual.
My sons 2009 Nitro just kicks A$$...It has so much clear articulate low end. More than needed in fact but is responsive and controllable. Truly a work of art in and of it self.
I am about to start on a new design based off of the HBE 100 circuit as a one channel but will need to locate a vendor that can provide custom spec'd Transformers as that is where the extra magic lies...
Peace...David ♫

I called Scott to date the amp as it has no Serial number from Marshall other than R/I (Reissue) and an 8 character ser# RF104032 in addition to (I forgot to ask about PHP-4.6) all in black marker...along with his shop sticker and US National Flag. It has stoch Dagnall PT/OT and a Splawn Merc-Mag Choke.
Scott estimated it to be from 2002-3. All boards inside are Scott's. Sounds great!
Philipians:4.6 PHP-4.6 (?) =

After being gone for so long, I saw your post title and thought Scott was doing Marshalls again! Welcome back to the family! Those are some great amps you have. I have played a few VH4's and they freakin' kill. I also had the pleasure of knowing "Butts". We did a few festivals together when I was a young tech and he and Warren scared the hell out of me before I finally met them!

Whoa, it has been a while! That's cool, I wonder if it is the same mod as the originals or if it's a new mod
