Greetings!
To preface my question, here is a little back story:
I have played a street rod for well over a year. My roommate owns that and a few other amps, and I love the street rod. His is a 2012 (if that makes any difference). So it's fairly broken in, I would assume. I love the amp. The other day, I bought an earthquake devices delay/reverb pedal and hooked up to this amp and it created the most lush overdriven tone I have ever heard. So I bought my own street rod. I found a 2015 online for a steal. It arrived today and I plugged in. It sounds great!!! But it's not as lush. It's more shrill sounding than my roommates. I have them side by side so I can A/B them.
So my question is, with the speaker being very new, how much can I expect it to break in/warm up the future.
Thanks in advance for your replies!!

New speakers are pretty shrill. Give it a good 20 hours of heavy lifting. You gotta get that cone moving back and forth. Could be the tubes too though. I like JJ preamp tubes on this amp. Welcome to the Board and the world of Splawn. Congrats
