How can I find out information about getting these options added to my Streetrod head? I've been trying to reach Scott via email, but I've not received any response. Hey man, Scott's dad passed away. I know that first off it depends on what transformers are in your Streetrod. The newer amps use "lay down" mains which I understand are the ones that can accept the mods. But honestly I am not sure if he is planning on modding older amps. He may be, but I am not sure. Wow, I'm sorry to hear that.

In regards to the mid scoop switch option, is there any videos or sound clips of this on a quickrod or competition. I'm just wondering if it's worth it to add on for my 2008 model or if it's simply a switch that switches in an additional 4.7n or so value capacitor before ground in the eq low tone stack. Thanks!

Nothing solid. I wish Splawn made some sort of Pro studio videos showing off the amps. It hard to find any decent videos period, most are a turn off... and some are alright but with the sound quality you might as well be buying a line6.

Very true about the video sound "quality" out there today. I did find one vid from "billy blades?" with the "website white competition" that the great Splawn sound came through despite cheap camera mic and sold me on investing into Splawn after years of tone searching with Mesa, Marshall, Framus, Diezel, bogner, peavey/evh, budda... Maybe I'll have to do some videos to show those what Splawn amps can really do. Especially since I'm a pro photographer/ videographer. Haha I'll just have to do it myself:)

Yeah if anyone has one of the new models with the mid scoop switch please do an a/b comparison video to show the tone change. Rock on Splawners!

Hey Guys The mid switch is the only option that we could do on all the amps we have built. The Drop B+ switch depends on the power transformer that is in the amp and the old/new switch has to have the latest PCB, some 2014 and all of 2015 would work. When you switch to the Drop B+ you will not have to change the bias, the switch takes care of that. HMM..Sorry to revive an old thread, but i just bought my first Splawn Amp, a 2019 QuicKRod 100, No B+ or Mid scoop, or New/old switch I was told that, the B+ would require a new Transformer, witch id be willing to do, and the new/old switch would require the newer or a different board? Witch i should have? I think you mentioned that the 2015-16 on up has the newer board? But i thought Scott told me on the phone, that i dont have the newer board? Its a 2019

Hey there. Welcome to the board. Most of us have migrated to the Splawn subforum at Rig-Talk. You would probably need to call Scott on this. My personal opinion would be to run a half power for awhile and maybe some other tricks before you spend time and money on a different transformer. That, and I'm not sure Scott is even taking on mods or side work anymore. I have read in several places that he is just focusing on building new amps. But again, give him a call. FYI. tree = Scott

Ok, yes i did talk to him and you are correct,i was just curious because i was just introduced to these amps and this is absolutely amazing, and allready has more bells and whistles than i was going for.
Also, i was just about to make a post about this question , but maby some owners can help me.
I have a 2019 Splawn QuickRod 100, Mint condition barely used, i just noticed, that if i hit the power switch ON, after the amps been off, even for a couple minutes, there is a 1 second delay, before the Red power indicator light illuminates..Is this normal? If i shut the power off, and count a few seconds and turn it back on, the Red light lights right up, just about as fast as i flip the switch. But again. If i let the amp cool down per say, and flip the power switch, the red light dies not instantaneously light up, ..you count 1 and it lights up.My Fender Twin amp and Mesaboogie F-50 does not do this thats why i need to ask
