I know there are lots of variables to consider when answering this question... But how often do you replace the power tubes in your Streetrod?
I got one of the very first Streetrods 5 or 6 years ago. I play several hours per week at home, band stuff is occasional. Anyway, after about 2 - 2.5 year, I thought the amp was losing it's edge so I replaced the tubes. Now, I'm feeling the same way again... 3 years since the last replacement. No problems with amp volume or anything, it just seems to be losing it's presence and the tone seems kind of flat.
Does my description and action to replace tubes seem appropriate?

I think if your intuition and ears are telling you it is time, then I agree, it is time. Give that beast some new blood! :-)
