Has anyone had issues with the bias pot not having enough range to get certain power tubes to bias in the right range? My plate voltage is at 420. So I should bias to 35-40MA. I got some Svetlana el34's from KCA and when I tried to bias them the trimpot wouldn't go low enough, it went to 44MA. Do I just need to tell vendors my plate voltage before ordering tubes that will match my street rod?
