OK guys I just found that my Comp. has JJ KT-77's and not 88's. Yesterday I had this thing cranked to about 12:00 and i noticed that the crunch disappears and it just gets loud. After doing some research on the 12ax7's, they are voiced darker with not as much gain but a tight bottom, LOL. I want my crunch back at higher volumes. Am I asking too much out of the Competition. I have the gain set @3:00, presence @10:00

I think I resolved the issue, I have been leaving the input gain alone on my G-Sharp thinking that no matter what I did on the amp I would get the same sound. Well lo and behold I got brave and turned input gain straight up and turned the amp up to 10:00 and still got the crunch, but my goodness I am going to have to get ear plugs and repaint the room, oh well all in the name of SPLAAAAAAAAAAWWWWNNN. Sometimes you got to be brave.
