Half PowerQuestion

Hi. I have had my Pro Mod for a couple of years now and only just used the "Half power" mode.

It worked well to make my sound more "open" and less Harsh than when i was running at full power ( I run a Boss GT Pro into the front end)

I have a 160hm cab so I changed to 8ohm in half power mode.

What I would like to know is what happens in half power mode?..all the tubes still glow ..I expected half of them to stop glowing..

Can anyoneinform me

the outer tubes are not used when in half power.

however i do not know if maybe all of the tubes get the high voltage.

i am suspecting that all of the powertubes get the low voltage, but just the inner two the high, thus only using two of them, but still keeping the others warm.

also splawndude infomed me that Scott advises that if you want to use the amp on half power for more than just a little while that you would want to pull the outer two tubes and rebias with just the inner tubes in.
