Hi All! New to the boards but not Splawn. I have one of the first series QuickRods and love it. In a moment of stupidity, I sold it but recently got it back!
Anyway I'm loving it once again and have a question on switching functions. I'm using my G-Major via Midi to switch from my Clean to Overdrive channels in the "B" jack and it works fine. I have a separate (generic 1/4") footswitch I can use to kick in the boost. The problem is that when I use that extra footswitch, it engages the OD2 channel automatically and there is no way to get to OD1. I tried using the Splawn Footswitch just using one jack but it doesn't seem to work.
I'm wondering if a two button extra footswitch would allow me to switch between OD1/2 and kick in the boost for me?
Right now, I can live without either the boost or OD2 but I'd love to have that extra flexibility. Thanks for any help or suggestions!

"The F/S A controls the solo boost on the tip, the ring is OD1/OD2. F/S B tip is the clean to O/D." That's what Scott sent me. You should just be able to plug in the qr footswitch into the A jack to change OD1/2 and solo boost. If you want to use your standard 1/4" switch you probably need a stereo Y cord that has a male TRS plus and 2 female standard 1/4" jacks on the other end, then just plug the cord from the switch into the jack labled "ring". It sounds like your qr switch has a problem and you could verify that with a continuity tester. You might also try plugging in your standard switch 1/2 way until you get to the first "click" which would be the ring (od1/2). You might also want to verify 1st with Scott.

Thanks for that. I did check with Scott and I need a different footswitch to control the solo/OD2. He also suggeste the axxess switcher that looks pretty darn cool!
BTW, anyone with the old series QR- My only complaint with the amp is that the clean channel is not real pristine on its own with the shared EQ. I found that the G-Major in the loop with a reduced mid setting can really get the clean quite useable, even with a LP!

FWIW, I got the Axxess CFX midi switcher and it works great! I highly recommend it. Basically it allows switching of all functions of the QR with a standard midi controller. It also has midi through so you can change your effects settings at the same time.
One stomp and you can go from a nice chorused clean with verb to a dry crunch on OD1 to a ripping OD2 Delay Lead patch. Lots of fun for an old lazy guy like me.
