So I'm pretty sure (like 90% sure ) I'm going to get the Quick Rod (as opposed to the Pro Mod) but I'm getting a Splawn either way! Thank you Shreder and Craig and everyone else with your info, help and suggestions! I think I'm going to go with the standard PM head box (silver control panel, grill and pipin) though I am also considering doing the Shreder model but with silver grill instead of the clear panel. What do you guys think? I'm eventually going to get a black Splawn 212 to match it. I just got to wait until the end of the month for my paycheck before I can place my order and then a couple weeks before it gets here. AHH!!! the agony Ok my main question is what do you guys think about getting an attenuator to go with the QR? I will be gigging but I also want to be able to play it at home w/o pissing everyone off. So far I've only really heard of the Hotplate and the Koch. Any info or suggestions? Thanks again guys! I'm looking forward to joinging the Splawn family \m/ -Windsen

yes, the shredder mods are your friend....lol..
seriously though, no attenuator needed..it sounds good at all volumes..it just sounds better when you crank it a little bit..
I find that puttin' it on half power when I'm noodling around at home works best for me..adn it still sounds great..I'd save the cash..just my suggestion!

Yeah, no attenuator needed with the QR, don't even worry about it. I have a Hotplate that I always use with my JCM800, but I've to this day never used it with the QR. The QR doesn't need to be cranked to sound awesome.
