2 Splawns are certainly better than 1, now that i have 2 I can say that!
..But you guys are too hard on the clean channel. That thing sounds great on the new Quick Rods... especially if you have a split coil or nice neck pickup.

I agree!!!! even on my petrucci with the cruddy stock pickup and the evolution in the bridge, it sounds GREAT split.... just gotta be mindful of how you dial it in is all, IMO

I really like the clean on the quick rod. add a pro mod, run them together at times, could be very interesting. and not just for cleans.

hahaha notice no bitch seat on that one. The one I built has a 113" The 107 CI is a very dependable motor and it came with a 3 year warrantee, that's why I went with that one in the Chopper. Cool.. another 107? must of built that for the Girl friend or wife.. House mouse? ;-) LOL... that would be a great street rod.

I went with the 2 QR's cuz I do really like a pristine clean channel, big and breathy and although it won't be used much except for the very few tunes played with a clean intro it'll be there..Should'nt take too long..I did'nt order anything special or real fancy so...We'll see

am i missing something?
2 QRs are great, but they have the same clean channel...how would one QR dedicated to only clean be different than a QR "set to clean"

I'm glad somebody asked this. .. I was wondering the same thing. I could see it for gear switching though.. run one real hot on half power on 3rd gear, then the other on 1st for rhtyhms and cleans.

I'm going to use either a "boogie high gain amp switcher" or the "Framptone amp switcher" your garden variety A/B boxes don't do the job correctly...Radial Engineering tonebone makes a good one as well...
