Count me in on the wah-wah..................
I have a modded Crybaby on one pedalboard and a Clyde Deluxe on the other.
Kirk Hammett sucks...always has and always will... ;D
Uli Roth is /was a wah master as well as Michael Schenker.Tasty and melodic, not that rock back and forth Hammett BS!
Just my .02
Peace.

Just my .02 Peace. man, I'm the opposite! I DON'T like to click it on and leave it in one stationary position...makes my guitar sound like a dang KAZOO...that sound is 'fingernails on a chalkboard' to me... the whole point is to make a psycho wah vibe and then get the H=ll out of there..I rock the thing like there is no tomorrow sometimes...I don't care if there is some guitar player out there thinking I can't play...I'm not trying to impress other guitar players...it's another 'toy' for expression...and, sorry craig, chicks dig it! like Austin Powers says: 'do I make you horny baby?'....the whole point in designing it was to emmulate Clyde whatever-his-lastname-is the trumpet player with the muffle thingy...

Michael Schenker is my favorite Wah Wah user. Uli Jon Roth is up there too. You can't beat Schenker though. Its gotta be something about those former Scorpions guitar players!

SRV tries to copy Hendrix with wah...he wanks around with low gain and Fender amps....like Hendrix he had his own style though. My fingers can't handle .013 gauge strings even tuned down 1/2 step...

Hendrix most definetly!
Uli Roth(Scorpions) " Sails of Charon" is a classic example of how to use the wah to enhance ..and not hide behind(ala Hammett).

I don't know if it's the best ever, BUT, it's a great example of using it tastefully, that's for sure!! he doesn't go all crazy with the pedal...kinda like zakk (your buddy..lol) was sayin in that video of him I [osted awhile back...... when I use it I really don't go all crazy with it either..in fact, I only use it for the harmony line of man in the box...lol..if it werne't for that I'd only use it to fart around at home and never bring it to a gig =) and craig, the similarities between you and I are striking..cause I've said the same thing about hammet over and over and over again..lol..if you listen to metallica's very first CD he's doin' the same crap pentatonic triads that he's continued to do for the better part of the last two decades..lol..can't stand that guy
