i booked a room at the wrong hotel from everyone. for some reason i thought the hotel was the courtyard marriott on remount st instead of the comfort suites on redmount. oops. luckily it's right across the street.

in other news, just got off the phone with screaminsaint and we'll be meeting up in atlanta and catching the same flight in to charlotte friday night. w00t.

see you guys sat morning. if i'm late, look out the lobby for an idiot trying to cross the street to get from the marriott to the comfort suites

so i'm stuck in atlanta tonight instead of being in gastonia with everyone. here's the story: my flight was supposed to leave from houston at 6pm and get to atlanta at 9pm, giving me one hour to catch my connecting flight leaving at 10pm for charlotte.

5:50 rolls around and they say the plane is delayed, won't leave houston until 7:05, meaning it won't get to atlanta until 10:05. they tell me they won't hold the plane in atlanta for me. i'm like WTF!?!?!? it's 5 friggin minutes. my options are to fly to atlanta and either hope i can make the flight, or stay over night and take the earliest flight out the next morning (which they tell me will be 9am). i decide to go to atlanta b/c those are two good outs.

we touch down in atlanta at 9:45, we pull up to the air trans terminals...and stop...b/c "we got to atlanta too early so our dock isn't ready for us". so we're sitting on the blacktop waiting for the terminal to open up so we can pull in...all this time I CAN SEE THE PLANE I'M SUPPOSED TO BE ONE right next to me. at this point i'm ready to bolt out the door to catch my plane but i have to wait.

10 min rolls by and we finally get clearance to pull in. i rush out the door and run down a few hundred yards to me connecting flight. when i get there, the doors are closed, plane is still there, but they won't let me on. !@#!@#$#%#@$%#@%@$@$#@$@$#@$!!#@@# i can see the friggin plane still connected to the rubber hallway doohicky. but apparently they've already "balanced checked the plane and doors are closed". so i miss my flight by nearly minutes.

so i have no choice but to find a hotel in atlanta and leave the next morning at 9am like they said. so i go to reschedule my flight...and lo and behold...the earliest flight isn't until the afternoon...even though they told me i could get out at 9am before i left from houston. @#@$##$%#@$#@$#@$#@@%!!!!!!!!!!

as frustrated as i was, i didn't flip out at the airtrans people, but lots of people were going apesh!t.

anyways, i went through another airline and will be leaving atlanta at 7am tomorrow morning and get to splawn con just in time.

what a evening. but on the bright side, i finished my 1.5 week of med school exams earlier today and am now halfway to splawn con. w00t!!!!

i thought about it, but i am soooo exhausted after the past week and a half of tests that i don't feel comfortable driving at night at this point.

i'm already at my hotel. it's nice and i got a really good rate so at least that worked out. i'll still make it to the event. hopefully =)
