Thanks shred...it's the first time I've heard that many compliments on my tone from someone other than the soundguy. I'm always amazed at how well the Quick Rod cuts...and it does it in a very non-offensive way. The band following us were using 2 Marshalls...very shrill sounding. (And I dig Marshalls.) The QR is just soooooooo thick sounding!!! it is thick, no doubt about that =D teh only reason I ask is based on a home recording my brother in law did at our last gig....but as I explained to craig, the ohter guy's cab was pointing RIGHT AT THE MIC ON THE CAMCORDER! lol....so I was worried I wasn't commin' through..but that's a directional/setup thing...I could hear myself fine and people in the audience said they could to and loved the sound of the splawn...so I think with my settings I should be good...well, that and goin' through a 50K watta pa wont' hurt either..hehehhe.. and I knew you'd say that about first gear...LMAO...I do like it, espeically with the gain dimed on OD2, but that's more for noodling purposes...I'm much more comfy on third gear with the gain around 10:30 or 11

I hear you brother...I was bustin' on ya about 1st gear, it does cut like no other, but that is to be expected. I agree with you...I LOVE 1st gear on OD2 with the gain juiced...man, that is some pretty chewy stuff!!! I will definitely run that setting on my next gig.

very nice, craggin =D and might as well ask this here... which does everything think cuts better? second or third gear? I agree 100%, 1st gear is the sh1t for rhythms man.. I love it. But I'll need 2nd or 3rd for most solos.

Oh shreder, speaking of other guitar players in the camcorder,, you hear my rhthm player Beaus chords spanking in the video,, thats my old Quick Rod.. he used it for that show. It sounded great and everyone told him how great he sounded.. so now he wants one too... finally thank god.. we'll both have insanely good tone.

I'm really leaning against selling the old one. Its one of the orginals and I don't need the money. I talked to Scott, I have the only amp that had this weird transformer setup, something special he used in mine,, probably no big deal, but it was the first snakeskin amp he made too.. I'm keeping it.
