thanks dude =) gig went well..we had a few minor technical difficulties....the bass players relativly brand new mesa head went right in the middle of the show! that was one of many but we still rocked..and the quick rod proved once again that it's the most evil friggin' sounding amp man ever put on this earth..lol

Of all the clips I've heard of the Pro Mod, it sounds very dark. I like the oomph and low end chug it has but really like the more open and mid-rich voicing the Quick Rod that I've heard in the clips. I was just wondering if the Quick Rod could be dialed to have a heavier metal voicing to it? Or perhaps the Pro Mod dialed to sound not as dark? Thanks! -Windsen Not to make your decision any harder, but I wouldn't call the Pro Mod "dark" at all. Sure it has less mids and slightly less openness than a Quick Rod but it is no way dark. I've had my Pro Mod for a few months now and I am very pleased. I had a Rivera Knucklehead before this amp, now that's a dark amp! The Pro Mod has a ton of tight low end and thumps like nothing I have heard. Never gets muddy! That's what amazes me! I guess the QR can be dialed to sound like a PM and is a bit more versatile but either way they are the modded Marshall sound and both rock. ;D
