k, first time using the QR with the splawn cab live...
had it on third gear with the gain at around 10 30...od1 for rythm...master was at about 10:00 or so....
anyone that thinks this thing doesn't have enough gain is obviously smoking the whacky tobacky....LOL....it utterly friggin' KILLED.,..tight as hell, full sounding...balls to the wall chunk...kick in teh solo boost and I was abotu ready to blow the people through the back of the bar...LOL..
I was so loud that I wasn't even patched into the monitors but it didn't matter...lmao....
worth every friggin' penny...my brother in law taped most of the show on a camcorder...until we get a pro to do some video that's the best we got...hopefully it turned out half decent..if it does, someof the footage'll be put up on our website..

I tried it for about 30 seconds then went right back to third gear..lol... there's just something about second gear that I dont' dig all that much..at least not for my style...it's third gear all the way baby..either that or first gear on OD2 with the gain dimed..that's a good sound as well.. and nope, nobody needed to be carted away horizontal..lol

NICE,, welcome to the Splawn Gig Club brother. thanks dude, good to be here...heheh.. ya know, it's funny....I love my amp at home, but for whatever reason, I think my bedroom is sucking tone! maybe it's the carpet? cause even at lower volumes the splawn sounded 10 times better in the open room...as soon as I started doin' the sound check I was like 'awww yeah baby, this is IT'..lol I'll be reviewing the 'footage' tonight...

All those things have a huge impact on tone. No way can your cab disperse and project in your room at home like it will on an open stage.

Hey shred, sorry i couldn't make it. I ended up going to AC to see the Rev. What cool show by the way, with the exception of the boring opening band. I have never heard an old Marshall Plexi sound so bad before. Some people just have no idea how to get a good tone out of good equipment. The other guitarist had an Orange and it sounded ok. I hope it wasn't a problem withthe venue because we will be there in a month! Glad to hear you were pleased with the live performance of the Splawn. I can't wait to play a show with mine!

You just need to play closer to the shore and not on a Sunday ;D. I owned the new Orange Rockerverb amp for about a month and it was pretty nice. The clean sound was SUPER clean like a Roland but warmer, real nice. I just couldn't get past the gain voicing, something about it being over-compressed sounding and sort of sterile. This was supposed to be their high gain series too.

D*mn freakin drummers Sorry, mine is just a waste of space and its getting under my skin. He arrived at practice shot out again and plays like garbage because he can't take care of himself. Ahhh we've been through too many ourselves to ditch him and start looking again. And, yeah there are ALOT of cover bands here by the shore. TOO MANY IMO! Hogging up all the venues and killing it for the local original bands
