I just got this info from Scott and thought I'd pass it along. I was considering using my TC G-Major to control some of the switch functions on the QR and this is the layout for those interested:
The G major will work however it only has 2 relays which will only switch 2 functions on the QR. You need a total of 3 relays to switch everything. The F/S A controls the solo boost on the tip, the ring is OD1/OD2. F/S B tip is the clean to O/D. Axxess electronics makes a box that works great for a good price that you can switch everything with.

This is good info, I'm already on my third Splawn footswitch... and my backup isn't working consistently either.

I've got an Axess Electronics CFX4 that I use with my Road King/G-Major. I was wondering if I could use that with the Quick Rod...now it seems like I can...hmmmm. The CFX4 is a great little piece of gear, and really easy to program. I'm not really using many effects with my Splawn, but a different footswitch would be cool....

That is cool info ag, I too called scott on the G major, Mine just got here and the splawn is due Wed. I was planning on using the Volume control in the g major and compare it to the Solo etc on the splawn. I too was looking at the CFX4 and intermix them. Glad to see others trying the G-major on the board here.
Dirrtycraig, are the switches wearing out? you one tap dancing man!
I would lke to hear any updates ag,

I have no complaints about the switches or construction really, I'm a big dude, and I have size 13 feet. I think I pretty much tear up all footswitches I've ever had. I went through about 20 of those cheap plastic Peavey switches in my 5150 days. I used to buy 3 at a time,, LMAO.

Hack - I think the tc is a great unit, hope you like it. I used the control switching on it with a trace elliot speed twin in the past with it in the loop. So far with the QR I've been micing the cab, have the tc in an aux on the mixer with a di feeding FOH effects wet left and right, and powered monitors on stage for my return. That's the bomb, but I'm getting tired of lugging all that stuff around and it takes a while to setup. The sound guy mixes the effects as needed for the room and it works great. The raw amp sound of the QR is great and you lose a little of that vibe when you throw something in the loop. Anyway, I need to flip to a clean sound with chorus and compression once in a while so I'll probably put the tc in the loop and just control the channel switching with the tc. I'll leave the footswitch for od2 and solo functions. The solo function on the QR is different than say using a 3db boost on the TC. The amp sounds a little more brutal than just with a volume boost. At least we have options.

+ 1 for Axxess - Mario is fantastic. I use a CFX4 with his MFC5 Midi Foot controller, and I've used them on a number of amps - they just work and work and work...
He also did a free mod for me so the foot controller would pull phantom power off the CFX4 - wallwart eliminated!

Thanks ag, that was my game plan on the Gmajor, just channel switch it to cleans and back. leave the other functions to the splawn pedal. Got the Gmajor in the mail today, fedex brings QR Wed. I hope to have it config'd and see what it does for me.. I did hook the gmajor to my jtm45 today and I really liked what I heard. I cant wait to experiment with the QR. Which Midi controller are you using? Just curious.. I also found software to modify patches etc for the gmajor with a PC,, you in need?
I looked at the CFX4, very cool unit. I may have to try that so I can switch two amps! glad they will do the phantom power thing for my Rocktorn All Access board. That will make me very happy.

For midi controller I'm using a rocktron midi mate. You can set 5 of the switches to act as controlers. I'm not so reliant on the tc these days as the qr by itself really sounds good.

Also, the tc is so easy to edit you don't need an editor. The multi amp thing is cool, but it's just too much crap to haul around if you ask me.

aint that the truth! getting to much stuff to haul these days is easy, at least I went from two racks down to one thats light, QR and a cab! its going to be a breeze, Seems like I have ended up just like you and the others here, dump most of my stuff and use the QR alone with a few delays. thats what I liked the most about the Tc was the dual delay in one patch and the amp switch. I didnt want eq in it, I know the older units didnt have it, but the TC I have does. turned it off. it is easy to get around on.
What firmware are you using? i have the 1.27 and from reading it addresses the volume of the bypass all function. matches it with input.
QR Showed up today, amazing sound, fell in love in seconds! Connected TC Gmajor, just beautiful.. the wait was worth it.
ATTN: Splawn guys, It's Awesome.. it doesnt get any better!

I can't remember the firmware version, I last updated it when they came out with the eq thing and dry kill which was about 2 years ago.
