Hey Hack, It's been a while, Hope all is well with you....I'm thinking about getting a new 2 X 12 as well. What are the dimensions on the over sized Splawn compared to say the new Avatar Premier Vinatge cab?
Big price diference....389.00 compared to 600.00

Hey Fretburner! Whats up man! good to see ya. All is getting better :-) hope the same for you. been meaning to ask more about your V3. ;-)
I didnt check the size compared to the avatar. Splawn hasnt listed the size of the 2x12 oversized on the site. SO, I just went with the Splawn cab so it would match the QR head. Plus we know Splawn is second to none on construction. I cant wait to hear it.

How come you're listed as a newbie?? Glad to hear things are going well for you Bro. The Splawn Cabs are kick ass no doubt! I'm just trying to justify the 200.00 extra.. Gotta tell ya....I'm really digging the V3. It's something you would have to actually play and not judge by sound clips. haha It's the best tube amp I've owned so far! Let me know how your cab sounds when you get it wired and plugged in!

I will let ya know how it sounds! I am lookin foward to it.
hahah ya I am a newbie! 28 whole posts. ahha.. I thought I would be lost in space for a long time with something personal.
ya those clips of the v3 on the site where terrible! I have always had great luck from carvins clear back to when they first started with the x100 series. ( I've had 3) and just sold one x100b with the factory hotmod.

Coolness Thanks Fretburner! 4" taller than the regualar cab. I still cant decide between the open back and the closed. I ordered closed. I like tight, but was thinking I might like it a little more open. decisions decision :-)

Coolness!!!
I was using the carvin x100b power amps to drive the other speaker cabs. I used the effects send output the splawn to the gmajor, then the gmajors right output into the carvins effects input.. Left side to the splawns effects return. works awsome driving three 4x12's! with two heads at 100 watts :-) and still have the splawns preamp tone running it all. It was freaking massive!

i think i'll have to get one of these cabinates at somepoint, i've got a poor 1922 marshall cab at the moment, hopefully won't have to put up with it for long once the splawn arrives.. order a cab then.
