Hi all. I pulled the trigger on a QR. I am interested in getting a matching cabinet. I know they build them out of 13 ply 3/4 Baltic Birch plywood. What type of joints do they use to attach the boards? Dovetails? Rabbit? Butt? If it is not a dovetail joint do they use nails or screws or just glue to hold it all together? Anyone have any pics of a Splawn cab without tolex? Pics of the inside? How does the slant and straight cabs differ in sound. I want a huge low end and I want the cab to thump. Thanks all

I don't have pics of the inside of my cab, but let me just say that it is the best sounding cab I've ever played through. I went on Scott's recommendation of the Gov/Man speaker combo, and once those babys broke in...WOW!!!! Some guys are putting different speakers in them with great results, too. I haven't tried anything different myself, because I'm really pleased with how tight and articulate the cab is currently. (Plus, the low end is really deep.) If I ever do try a different speaker in the cab, it will probably be Greenbacks.
As for the build construction, I'm pretty sure the joints are dovetailed...but just to be sure, I'd suggest you give Scott a call. Scott is extremely helpful and will not try to "sell" you on something you don't want. If anything, he's a good "match" maker. ;D
