Hey Greg,
Quick answers to your questions:
-Loop is not tube buffered. It will affect you tone slightly like all loops will but it will be less noticeable the more you turn up the master volume. The loop "catches up" to the tone at about 8:30 - 9:00 on the volume dial, which also where the amp starts sounding to its best potential. I use my delays and pitch shifter in the loop and it sounds good to me.
-The amp sounds goos at low volumes but GREAT at better volumes. If you were to never turn up loud you would think the amp was great but as soon as you play at a good volume you will see how the amp comes alive.
-The new clean channel has been said to stay very clean untilyou crank the preamp vol. I have the older version so I cannot really compare but some have said it is almost too clean.
Hope that helps and believe me when I say this amp fookin rocks. You will never go back to solid state again!

Efx loop works like a charm on the Splawns. The clean channel since it upgraded is wonderful. Only noticed significant breakup w/ a gb loaded cab, thats normal. Pro-mod is fine at lower volumes, don't worry just remember all amps in that caliber like some power running through them!!! Just make sure you want a pro-mod over a quickrod as it is a really tone specific amp, great amp, but really specific! It would be hard to hate it! Thanks, Josh
