First and second digits are the model. 3rd is the wattage. 4th and 5th digits are the year made and the remaining are the number of amps produced at that time.
For instance if your serial number is QR109996 this would be a Quick Rod 100 watt built in 2009 and was the 996th amp built.

HOW TO READ YOUR SPLAWN SPEAKER CABINET.....contributed by briman
The first number in serial number on splawn cabs is either a 2 or a 4 which identifies wether it's a 2x12 or 4x12.
The 3rd amd 4th number are the year the cab was made.
So if serial number is 42130025.......this is a 4x12 made in 2013. Not sure but might be the 25th one made in 2013.
