I took a look at the swatch, and it does seem a little washed out compared to my amp. Most likely it was due to how it was photographed (flash).

I really want a god Marshall rig but am not happy with recent Marshall quality. I was told if I want the best Marshall killer tone, I need to go ultra boutique, do you guys think that is necessary? One I was told to check out is the PWE Event Horizon or CAE OD-100. That is almost $3000! That is a lot. Do you guys think the SR approaches boutique tone? If it is as good or better than a good Marshall, that should be good enough for me. My other choice was just going the Fractal Audio Axe FX route for the all in one and instant access, no pedal dancing thing. Thanks!

normally I'm not a fan of snakeskin but I think that looks really cool with the black panel, knobs and grill cloth..nice!

What's the word on the mids on these amps? I hear some call the QRs mids harsh...but the streetrod is smoother. Was lloking at the Baron and Surreal amps.

You have $1800 to buy a brand new amp and THAT'S what you choose to cover it in?!
LOL, kidding! Congrats on the amp. I've been playing the 100 watt Splawns for years but I am dying to try a Streetrod head.

First, damn that amp looks killer, congrats. Second, I think the boa looks like the boa on my splawn cab so I think these pics are a better representation of what you would receive if you got boa tolex. Third, if you think you need to spend $3000 on an amp to get killer "marshall" tone, look no further than Splawn, it goes beyond "marshall" and is built like a tank
