I just got finished installing an EVH frankenstein humbucker in my guitar and made a quick sound clip cause it sounded pretty sweet. I still may need to adjust the height to really dial in the tone but here it is. www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=938272

Good god what a crunch! Nobody responded to this?!
That is a such a "right" bridge tone. Is that still on your Competition? And the EVH pickup you're talking about is the recent 16k version, right, not the low output 78 model that Duncan sells out of the custom shop?

Sounds good! I have three of the EVH 78' from Duncan Custom Shop....I just love them. Like Ayton, I am assuming this is 16k version?

Boy... that sounds great! I'm guessing from the other clip you're playing the guitar w/EVH pup through a Competition? Could you share some more info? Like what guitar, speakers, amp settings, boosted / not boosted, etc. I really dig the sound.

Thanks a lot guys, I was thinking everyone thought it sucked for the longest time. Yeah it's the newest humbucker he came out with. Still using the Competition through a pair of English Greenbacks (Thanks Ayton) and a Charvel San Dimas production guitar. I love the way this amp sounds on its own and never felt the need to boost it. In the clip it's set on gear 1 OD 2 with the gain at about 3 o'clock, Presence at noon, bass at 9, mid at 10, treble at 2.
