I recently set up my nitro with my TC G system. Pretty sweet combo...except for the channel switching. There's a delay in the G system's relays that a split second too long when changing channels...just enough to notice it. Anyone using the G-system with their nitro? Anyone using an Amp Gizmo with that combination to smooth out channel switching?

Anyone using an Amp Gizmo with that combination to smooth out channel switching? Never used the Amp Gizmo. The first midi loop switching system I used was an old Rockman Midi Octopus. It had the same problem... a very noticeable delay when switching patches. I got rid of it for that reason, and bought a Rocktron Patch Mate loop switcher (designed by Bob Bradshaw) and Midi Mate controller. No delays whatsoever and rugged as a tank. I gig regularly and it's never failed me. Mine is a rack mount switcher w/separate controller, but I think they offer a unit that combines both the switcher and controller and fits on most pedal boards. Scott offers a similar unit made by another manufacturer in his on line store. One nice thing about the Rocktron setup is the flexibility of the Midi Mate controller. You can set it up to function as a standard midi controller (switch between presets in banks of 10), or it can switch directly between any preset in any bank (say from #2 right to #128 without "banking up"), or you can set it up to run the F/X processor (say... a Rocktron Replifex) like a bunch of stomp boxes, turning each effect on and/or off individually. Kinda cool IMHO.
