If i could get rid of my engl blackmore i would get another nitro, i had one a few years ago with el34 but i think i would love it with kt88.

It's funny how so many people are coming back to the amp now that they're using it with KT88's. Scott needs to take a hint. I'm sure he's not going to have any trouble continuing to sell them but it would probably help keep them in the original owners hands.
I've said since the day I put the 88's in (Late July of 2008) that the nitro should be built with KT88's as the standard. Their sound compliments the structure of the sound so much better than 34's.

I think the price of new tubes scares a lot of folks off. KT88's are not cheap but they sound incredible in the Nitro.

When i was ordering my nitro a few years ago i was gonna go with kt88 but i kept reading people complain that the nitro had too much lows and el34 was the way to go, im my mind it made sense because in the past i had amps with kt88 and they had alot of lows and i was scared it was gonna be just too much on the nitro. i guess i was wrong.
