Every once in a while I bump into a neighbor later in a day that I have had the Splawn cranking in the house. "Were you playing guitar today?" Haha....as if they really need to ask.
My neighbors are cool though and I don't do it at disrespectful times and I know they can't hear from inside their home. They actually take an interest in the fact that I play so its cool....but they have definitely been hearing me a lot lately with the new QR and then the cab hitting the door step.

I knew it was oversized or whatever, but that Mesa Recto cab is HUGE. The wheels are also bigger so it's "heightening" (remember that one from Seinfeld?) Anyway, the new Splawn 4x12 with sb25s and my new black headshell for my Pro Mod.

My neighbors don't say anything to me... They watched me lug this box that said Splawn on it the other day... They were probably thinking... "Oh sh!t there he goes again!"

vlad, not sure if you got a chance to use yours live yet. I decided to leave my usual Bogner/Mesa rig home and brought the Splawn Pro Mod and new 4x12 rig out. It sounded and felt great. I suspect that if I had just sucked it up and bought the sb25 cab a year ago, I would not have sold my Quickrod and gone on that crazy amp hunt (Mesa, CAA, Bogner, VHT 3x ...). All those Paypal fees and shipping costs, oyyyyyy ...
I can't wait to use this rig again. I had the cab two days and I already got a decent size gash through the tolex, oh well. ha ha ha ha

Yeah my Splawn rig has never sounded better. No joke, I can't stop playing that rig. Terrific cab.

Hey Vlad, I'm looking at that recto cab. Are those 3" slide lock casters? I love my Splawn cab, but I think the casters could be better. How does it roll? I was thinking about buying a set.

I'm the one with the Recto cab. Sounds silly, I know, but the larger wheels on the Mesa are way better. They feel better, roll better and just feel more solid. It's a quality cab too.
I'll try and look at what they are when I get a chance. I bought it used and assume they are stock.

Your mesa is most likely Celestion V30s. It's what gives you that queasy feeling in your gut when you play on it that you didnt' understand...lol! Bigger wheels roll better, just ask Og! Ja PhilM, das stimmt, I went through a few Marshalls and pedals before I pulled the trigger. Been using my QR with a POM1 (plain old Marshall common as dirt 1960) and it sounds fine. You can always depend on a set of V30s to ruin a perfectly good amp. doh, there I go again!
