I just sold my Marshall cab tonight. I was almost sad to see it go. Its been with me ever since I started really gigging a lot and it did sound good. I just hope the Splawn lives up to the hype or I will be kicking myself. I probably should have waited so I could A/B, but my patience really sucks. I got it in my head that I could sell off the Marshall stack since I've got the Splawn and it really rocks....and then I'll have money for another guitar....damn GAS!!!!! Which Marshall cab did you have?

Damn, sounds like you've got another week to go (or so), which means I've got 2 or more (my order didn't go in until last Monday). I ordered mine on 3/14. So we're in the same boat...

I had a Marshall 1960a with V30s and G12H30s in an X pattern. Nothing too fancy, but it was a solid cab I put some miles on.

But the Splawn should be way better built. So if the speakers work for you, it should be better. I've tried Emi Private Jacks and didn't care for them. So the only thing I'm a bit concerned about are the speakers. But from what I hear, they're great.

I ordered my cab on 3/4. Checked in a few days ago and they said it will ship sometime next week....so it looks like turn around on cabs is ~3 weeks right now. I thought it was more like 2, but what are ya gonna do. Good things come to those who wait I guess. Only issue for me is I have a gig next Sat and there is a good chance my Marshall cab is going to sell before then. I can borrow another Marshall cab, but its got GT12-75s in it as oppossed to my V30/G12H30 combo that actually doesn't sound too bad at all. Oh well... one gig then its all Splawn! Good luck with yours vlad! Pete, any word on yours yet?

No, and I am quite bummed about it. I figured if I saw the Fedex Shipping notice by Thurs I would most likely see it on Sat and have it for my show Sat night. Didn't get it so whether it ships today or not I have to borrow a cab for the show this weekend. Our singer has a Marshall 1960a with the stock GT12-75s and I am really nervous about what kind of sound I am going to get from it. I may take my DSL too just in case the Splawn sounds like ass.

That sucks; it'll be here soon enough though. Do you want to borrow my Port City 2x12? I doubt it, just throwing that out there ...
Yeah, bring both heads to be safe. Actually, don't you bring a 2nd head anyway?

If you lived a little closer I might take you up on it, but its actually no big deal for Tyler to throw the cab in and bring it for me. And no, I don't bring a 2nd head. Paul's got a Crate Powerblock that he brings as a backup that we both rely on. We figure the chances of both of our heads going down is pretty slim. He doesn't bring a 2nd guitar and I do...so we oughta be covered Of course, neither of us ever break strings and wouldn't you know when we did that March of Dimes Benefit at Water St. last month neither of us brought a 2nd guitar and we both broke strings during the set. WTF!!!

We're far? Honestly, I don't blame you. I'd rather play through a 4x12. I usually just bring one Les Paul and that's it. A couple times I brought a 2nd one but didn't use it. I was going to bring the EBMM Axis for the 1/2 step down stuff but I brought it to practice the other night. It's SO different and small. My hand feels really cramped on it. Not sure I'm gonna bring it afterall--not yet anyway.

Relatively speaking I guess we are neighbors But its still a far enough drive to not be able to work into my schedule. The Axis necks are thin, but after having them around for years now I am used to transitioning to them. I love mine and play it quite a bit.

So I should have my new cab this coming Tuesday... man this is hard... Yup, this is the week. My dealer e-mailed the other day and said my order was done and I should have my new headshell and 4x12 by mid week. Let us know how you like it, vlad.
