alot of that was just making noise which I'm sure alot of us do from time to time Just for the fun of it. Reb is a killer player and the KING of tapping . Eddie made it popular but Reb perfected it .

I dunno,, I just never thought he was that great. Opening with a cathedral rip-off, into mindless tapping scales,, blah.
Aldrich just annihilates this guy.. and hes nowhere NEAR EVH's tapping prowess in his prime.

I always dug reb..seems like a really cool guy with a distinct style..all the tapping DOES get on my nerves after a while however....then again,it's really part of his style...not a 'gimmick'....sometimes I found his recorded lead tones to be a bit annoying, but when he was with dokken his rythm tone live was fooking PUNISHING..

Reb has got a very unique tapping technique. It certainly goes way beyond EVH. Here he explains it DC, Having met and spoken to both Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach together, they both have a massive respect for each others playing. Doug concedes he can't do what Reb does and vice versa. Easily 2 of my top 5 players!! |
