Hey man! We have had two so far. We skipped it last year due to a number of reasons (scheduling conflicts etc). Both times have just been a blast! The first one was incredible. Scott and his family and crew were so kind. We hung at his shop, toured the shop, watched Scott build amps, watched others tolex and build cabs etc. We then ended up at another location where Scott and the crew had set up a stage with a whole bunch a various Splawn amps (check You Tube)! Scott brought in AWESOME BBQ and we hung out for hours while people took turns shredding and just having fun. You could play any amp you wanted to try. This is when we were all introduced to the Nitro!
The second "fest" was more centered at Scott's shop. He arranged the shop with different rooms, each with different amps. It was great. We hung out all day, had BBQ (noticing a theme? mmmmmm) and just had a clean, honest good time. We then ended up at Chrismac's house down the road. He has a full rehearsal area at his house. We rocked well into the evening.
Scott, his employees, his family, the amps, the food were ALL GREAT....but the other part of the weekend that was just tremendous, is the hanging out with the Splawn forum members. We had so much fun at the hotel, at breakfast and at dinner! The people on the forum are all very friendly. It was great getting to know all of them!
Oh, and TJ always serenades us with his little acoustic guitar (he is so fn good on the guitar it drives me crazy.....well, actually I don't think about it until I am in his "presence"....then he is annoyingly good....TJ is a great guy!!).....and we still aren't sure if Dirrtycraig is actually a real person!!
I hope the other attendees add to this thread...I am certain that I am leaving out a lot.

Tons of great times at both Splawn cons. Kev covered alot of it but he left out three things.......
1. Wiener dog poop in the lobby of the hotel
2. "Excelsior" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. The Brisket taco gang!
Splawn con is a great time. I would make the trip if I were you. All the guys are top notch and we have a great time always!

ahhhhhhhh........beeer......hog fat..........fiddles........bleeding ears........I am ready for another. I finally got HVAC in the band room, so anytime of the year will work for me.
