'09 QR w/ Hybrid Slant

Here's my baby. I got the QR just before Christmas, and I just got the cab on Thursday.

I was saddened when I opened the cab and the grillcloth didn't match my head. I called Splawn, and Josh told me that cloth was discontinued. They're sending me a new insert for the head, but I like the old stuff better. Oh well, I'll get over it.

I recently sold all my old Boss pedals, and I've been slowly rebuilding my setup. I'm still waiting on my TimeFactor to come, and I'm trying to decide which chorus pedal to get.

Classy as all get out, man. That is sweet. Better have some handi-wipes nearby though. Easy to smudge it looks like. Very nice indeed!!!!

The new front panel insert was supposed to be here today but no one was home to sign for it. I'm off tomorrow so I'll put it on and try to post up a new pic in the next day or two.

The new grill cloth has grown on me...I think I like it better now.

Yup. I like that the insert isn't brighter than the tolex now. Cool rig.

(BTW, I notice your Solo knob is zeroed. You may have read on here, but turning it up to 9 o'clock will make the amp sound more like itself when playing at low volume, even though you're not actually using Solo mode. Just another Splawn idiosyncrasy!)

The insert actually wasn't brighter than the tolex before...that was just the flash.

Here it is out of the amp...



Now I've got an extra "Splawn" logo to play with. I'll have to find something interesting to do with it...

Thanks...I haven't heard that before. I'll have to try it out.

haha...I thought about that. I drive an '09 Scion xB. It'll probably find it's way onto my tool cart at work.

Oh man, good taste all round – I love the Scion xB! Although, don't be offended, but I might like the original one more, as it's like even more square and Japanese. Such characterful little cars.

Quite a surprise. You don't think a guy who plays a Splawn stack drives a little Scion. ;D

I work at a Toyota dealer. I always liked the old xB, and I thought I liked it better until I drove a new one when they came out. It's a great car. I bought it when my wife and I first started trying to have a baby. My old ride was a bagged S10 Xtreme with too much custom stuff to list....definitely not family friendly.
