Yes sir. I have a Splawn 2x12 and 4x12 and love both of them. I sold the coveted Bogner cab to get a Splawn and don’t regret it one bit.

:)Dude...just curious...at a live gig, which speaker would you mic and why? Not sure yet. I'm not sure which side has the small block or big block. My wife and I switched the house around the 23rd+24th. Winter time we have to put the living room back were the heater is @. Today....probably after I get everything caught up..... I'll mic the cab up and do a blind test to see which speaker I like best. Once I'm fairly sure of which one I like, I'll pull the back and let you know who won

congrats on the cab . I remember when I first got mine ,it really does make a big difference . What were you playing through before a marshall? I was playing thru a pre g-flex genz benz. It had eminece legends. It sounded harsh to me thru the Splawn and my rockmaster. I sold the genz last wed. to a guy who get this....... has a fenler!! It looked just like an OLD fender bassman. Writing style and everything looked Exactly like fender only it had an l instead of a d. For a clean tone this thing kicked ALL kinds of @ss. The cab sounded Awesome with that thing. I jokingly told him If I wasn't broke I'd say sorry about the cab and I'll buy your amp if you'd like. He was tickled to get a cab that sounded that good with his head for a $100. Cab had a lot of cosmetic issues.

They do rule!! I recently picked up a Mesa 2x12 because I was tired of showing up at small gigs, auditions, and rehearsals with a half stack. I figured why buy a 2x12 combo when I can just use my Quick Rod and a 2x12 cab? Well I got a good deal on the Mesa loaded with V30's. It sounded pretty bad. Zero bass. and very nasally. I went through many speakers in that cab, even small blocks. I sold the Mesa for $150 more than I paid and found a great deal on an unloaded Splawn 2x12. Loaded my small blocks in it and holy crap what a difference! It totally buries the Mesa cab!!

I wouldn't be surprised if you like the sound of the SB's mic'd. My Splawn 4X12 has all SB's, so I'm not sure what the BB's sound like. I can only tell you that the SB's sound awesome straight up as well as mic'd.

Man, I can't wait to get mine. I did a gig last night with a borrowed Marshall 1960a cab w/stock GT12-75s. The QR sounded good, but that cab was definitely a lot brighter than my Marshall I had w/V30s - G12H30s. There was just kind of a harshness to the high end that I didn't hear with my other cab. I know the Splawn cab is going rock....better come this week!

yeah I have a 1960 cab with gt 75's too and I have to run the treble and mids almost off. With the sb's I have them at about noon and it sounds much clearer.

that's exactly the comparison and settings i used between the gt 75's and my small blocks. I love the splawn loaded with sb's!!!!
