Boing! That's lovely. Check that wood on the neck. Is it just a very nice bit of maple? I'm a fan of the minimalist approach here, just what you need. I'm going to check this guy out and hope he doesn't charge the same as a small car.

Andy Guyton is a rare find.. a gem of a person both personally and professionally. We've spent many days together on his last 2 visits to the states and we just agree on EVERYTHING guitar. .. and it shows in the product. Plus our wives get along great ... its like a US vs. UK fcking drinking contest when were together. No Floyd,, I only use it on like 3 cover songs anyways.. for my own original stuff I NEVER use it,, so whats the point really? I'm kinda over the bar. Specs are: Gigantic baseball bat neck. Andy says its the biggest hes EVER built. 1 piece maple w/ stainless steel frets and no dot markers. 1 piece mahogany body. Yes, I actually can tell the difference in sound between a 1 piece and everyone else who uses at least 2 piece bodies. You would not believe how hard it is to find someone who will even make a guitar out of one piece of wood!? super thin nitro-cellulose finish Titanium "sweat proof" bridge, sperzel locking machines and a JB/'59 with the out of phase, 5-way switch. From SRV to Shred with one flick. simple and perfect for me.

Andy does some great work and I really liked the guitars he made for Mark Chapman of 'A', sweet Halen-esque looking axes. I think he also build guitar for Brian May, so the man has some powerfully high standards. Is Andy still a QR owner?

To my knowledge Andy is the only guy building guitars for Brian May right now and has been for quite a few years. Yeah he makes some crazy awesome stuff.. He is still a Quick Rod owner and loving his Splawn.

Down and Dirty. With all Hot-Rods aside. I love this old Strat. The Humbucker is a G&L AW4370B Alnico Humbucker. Though I prefer Gibson Humbuckers, I didn't have the heart to put a Gibson pick up in my dear old Fender friend. I was learning Yngwie on this Strat in 1984 and Eddie before that.
