did you order from a dealer or direct? Direct. If i had known a dealer would have been quicker, i certainly would have done that..... . You would think eliminating the middle man would be faster. I guess i thought wrong. I will take that route when i order a SuperComp.....

Cool. I am in no way doubting that he is procrastinating. If its going to be 20 weeks, he should just put it out there and let the customer know. I would still wait of course. I would just like to be able to gauge how much longer i need to mooch my friends awful Crate & Line6 Spider garbage for gigs. (My 07' QR is acting up and i cant trust it during a 3 set gig yet). acting up? are you the original owner? scott built it and im pretty sure he can fix it. if your the original owner doesn't he repair them under warranty? i have two quick rods. one is quick rod number 69. the other is an 08 model. i have never doubted the dependability what so ever. just wondering thats all. It was dropped and hasn't been the same since. He's so busyI hear that service can be longer than an order

Hey guys, I am new to posting on this forum but not new to viewing it. I have been looking at splawn amps for about a year now and finally have the means to purchase one. Bye bye 5150ii hello Splawn Nitro! My question is about going through a dealer vs going directly through splawn. I am going to be completely without an amp during my build time, so the sooner I can get it the better. On the other hand a don't wanna sacrifice all the options, bells & whistles, and custom colors can get when ordering direct. I already know every option, color, knob, and tube set up that I want. Basically I need to know if ordering through a dealer is exactly like ordering from scott but with less wait. Another thing is sales tax, if i order through my local california dealer I am going to be slapped with $150-$200 sales tax. I called splawn direct and asked about a out the door price. They said $1950+ shipping out the door. No tax. It would be nice to save that exta $150-$200. But i guess im just confused on what to do. please help.

I think it is about a 3month wait if you buy it directly from Splawn. There are other dealers out there that may have a "build date" sooner. You can still order it the way you want it through one of the dealers that has an upcoming build date. Call around and see if any of them have a build date coming up. It will ship directly to you from Splawn.

Your friendly, local, California dealer sent you a PM. Your looking at about a 3-5 week wait for whatever you want. Don't sweat the sales tax. I sell Splawns to my local California customers for the exact same price they would pay if they bought them direct or from any other legit dealer.
