Hi,
I have a GAS-Attack ! Please give me some very good Reasons to buy a Nitro additional to my ProMod.
My favourite Nitro would be with KT88, Purple Plexi Style with golden Piping. Does anyone know, if the Mode Function from the Super Comp is available on the Nitro ?
Regards from Bavaria
Markus

The mode function is not available on the Nitro. The Kt88 is the way to go.

Regards from Bavaria Markus Reason 1: I've ordered a competition 7 weeks ago, do not feel a strong demand for a nitro but would have fun to test drive a bavarian's Nitro ;D - or maybe A/B a Nitro and a competition (or a competition and a ProMod.) Reason 2: Nitros are still hard to find in Germany - so it would be not a problem to sell it if the tonal character was not to your liking. By the way: i've specified blue tolex for the headshell and silver for piping, knobs and panel. Being also a bavarian i should have chosen blue and white - but i guess i'm only half of a patriot ;D Regards from postal code region 84416

Hi LooseCannon, ;D That reflects exactly what i've ordered ! By the way i've added the same link to my e-mail which contained the specs. Reason #3 for purchasing a Nitro: Rumors tell that a man's metabolism slows down a little bit after the age of 30 resulting in a tendency to fatten up a little bit. So an amp that's thicker, fatter and with more emphasis on the lower midrange might be the perfect match Reason #4 for purchasing a Nitro: It would be the coolest Backup-Amp i could imagine Regards and a nice weekend

I've never played a competition but I'd be willing to bet that with those 2 amps, I'd have a VERY hard time choosing which to use nd which to set aside for standby. I know, just use an A/Y/B box and run them both ;D

hmm..... I've never played a competition but I'd be willing to bet that with those 2 amps, I'd have a VERY hard time choosing which to use nd which to set aside for standby. After extensively examinating clips and demos of Nitros, QR and Competitions it was easy for me to take a closer look onto QR and competition. 'cause i've always preferred Oranges for clean (i had the patience to cope with their fixed bias circuits) and never needed 100W so far (and few other reasons) it was a Competition i've ordered. But apart from this decision Nitros are amps with an amazing tone and i understand why some players my suffer from a GAS-attack. By the way - i'm 39 and have managed to loose a few pounds - so at present there's no need for a fatter amp - at least for me.
