Hi everybody, I just got a Splawn 4x12 cab and am confused about the 4 inputs. The back plate has a locking mechanism on the top left input and in between the top two inputs it says 16 mono. Between the bottom 2 inputs it says 8 Stereo. I'm assuming that the top 2 inputs are 16 ohm mono and the bottom 2 are 8 ohm stereo? Is this correct? If the top 2 inputs are indeed mono why are there 2?
Thanks for reading.

The two top inputs are mono 16ohms and the 2 bottom inputs are the stereo 8ohms. Theres 2 16ohms on top because one of them, that locking mechanism, is called a Speakon connector. Gives you the option of using a cable thats got a speakon tip. Heres more info on the Speakon plugs en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speakon_connectorHope that helps. Joe

Thanks Joe, that helps a lot. Am I allowed to plug a regular 1/4 speaker cable into the locking input or should I just plug it into the regular input?

Use the locking input.

I don't see how a speakon plug would fit in there, it's a 1/4 pl locking jack.

My mistake dudes... Since it was a locking type I assumed it was a Speakon plug... sorry about that.
