Just sent final payment to Scott for my Nitro. I had a QR on order and then changed it after 9 weeks of waiting to a Nitro. I am already putting some sales out there to fund my QR. Hopefully I dig the Nitro more than my current DR.
Pics/vids coming soon.....

What differences can I except from my DR? More mids/ better cleans/ better lead tones ? I really like my DR but I cannot get any great lead tones. I use an Analogman King of Tone pedal or an Xotic BB ( sometimes even an OCD ) in front of mt DR and then a TC Electronics Vintage delay and MXR10 band EQ in the loop. That gets me teh tonze from my DR that I like best but have never been truly satisfied with.

The DR is a great amp but kinda flubby and harsh at times for me. I own an older 2 channel DR that was modded by FJA. I like it but I love my Nitro. I loved the Nitro so much that I bought a second one to have as a back up. If you are into boosting, you will love the Nitro. The Nitro has more of a Marshall vibe but much beefier. I recommend Splawn cabs with SB/BB's also. I could not get the tone I wanted out of my old Mesa 4x12. The Nitro sounds good with Green Backs too.

I loaded a Mesa 2x12 with SB25s for the Nitro (well, actually for the QR I originally ordered). Those speakers sound not so great with a DR so I figure I made the right choice for a Splawn amp.

well....amp was to arrive last week.....still no word. I dont mind thats its not done as much as mind being told it would be done last week. The dealer I ordered through originally said i'd have a target date of early/first week September which was utter crap. I dont mind if it does not get here until December..... I just wish I had been given a much more realistic date. That being said... I'll probably get my tracking number later today and really cuss myself for whining.

Are your SB's broken in? They sounds much better after a couple months of cranking them up. I liked the DR with my SB/BB Splawn 4x12 but I also liked it with the Gov/MoW loaded Splawn 4x12.

I only have maybe 4 hours on the SB25's. I have 2 children under the age of three so I can't RAWK at home often. I played the SB cab at 1 gig and that was it. I think I'll use it again at a show this weekend though just to break em in some more.

Mine are sounding really good but it took some hours and time to get them smooth. Scott Splawn said the best way to break them in is the crank them up and jam. My kids are 7 and our practice room is in our basement so I get to jam more frequently these days plus I have had the cab for about 4 months now.
