sweet! did ya fire it up yet? I'd love to give that thing a run with my QR to see if I dig those speakers or not... what's the wattage on those things? Well my Pro Mod is at our practice space and I won't get there until Sunday bcayse I am going away for the weekend. I did run my Rivera through it last night to break it in, mostly on the clean channel. It sounded really good with that. The dirty channel sounded great as well. I can't wait to fire up the Splawn with it! The speakers are rated at 55 watts each. ah, you'll have no problem running the pro mod through that then..not like you're running the thing full out..

That's what I was thinking. I mean, it's only 10 watts under the Pro Mod and I won't be running the volume all that high. If I am playing a big show where I can be loud I'd obviously use the 4x12.

Do you use your 4x12 at home? where else would I use it? lol lol, true. Why not use the 2x12 instead? Isn't the 4x12 a bit much for the bedroom? Well, I guess a lot of guys use halfstacks at home, I just never understood that.

Well, I guess a lot of guys use halfstacks at home, I just never understood that. it's the way sound travels out of a 4x12 moreso than a volume thing..got nothing to do with volume...I can get as quiet with either cab.. as you know, bass swells everywhere and mids/highs are very directional...there's a tendency for 2x12s to sound 'muddy' because they're much farther away from ear level than the top two speakers in a 4x12...which makes where you're sitting in relation to them even more sensitive than with a 4x12...savvy? =D

I know what you mean but you could always raise the 2x12 off the ground too, no? There would be less bass though, as you say. I don't really know because the only 2x12 I had was the Rivera K312 and that also had a 300 watt subwoofer so there was no lack of bass there! I will see soon enough what the differences are.

Man thats looks freakin tough as hell DD!
My Splawn 212 holds up fine from the abuse I've given it;) Running my QR at full power and around 11 o'clock! Mine has the X-pattern Mano-Gov though :)Its almost as loud as Crismac's 412..almost:) I would like to try the new SB25's one day.

I used the cab with my Splawn last night at practice and it sounded amazing! I didn't think my amp could sound any better but there was a crunch it didn't have before. I'm thinking of selling off my V30's in my Bogner 4x12 now and replacing them with the SB-25s!
