Okay, lemm'e try this again... Can I lift the cab? Probably, used to do so with my Marshalls, but the Splawn would be a serious struggle and I wouldn't want to risk wasting my back trying. Which then made me wonder how everybody else is lifting these cabs... DC, don't make me have to kick your arse any more than I already should... I been luggin' around 4-12's for 20 years. If you can't lift a cab how you gonna kick MY ass!?  hee hee. |

+1 I don't know about the Splawn cabs but my Bogner weighs 137 lbs! WTF? That's two more than me! Is it loaded with EVs or something? Nope, four V-30's and 3/4" Birch. It'll make a man of ya! Seriously though, I have a strategy for lifting it into the bed of my pick up truck. I get in front of it, lift with the legs, rest the bottom lip on my thighs and then lower it on it's back. After that, I push my piles back in and drive off!  |

I really don't play bigger venues anymore...I'm 50 with a
(couple of herniated discs) SOOOO...I built my own slightly
oversized 2x12 cab. Still has plenty of chunk and even I can throw
it in the Ford. Can you get by with a 2x12 cabinet ?
Some of these rigs I see with 6ft tall EFX rack and casters
and two 100W heads in same ! Some of these rigs are HUGE.
Yea...I can still lift 'em but not for 150 bucks a night !!! LOL
