Someone told me once that what I DON'T know could just about fill the Grand Canyon...that always gave me a giggle. I think he built me that Quick Rod in 2005 and both my heads have EL-34's If both of them have EL-34's then technically both are Quick Rods. Any tonal difference between them? See I would not have known that because they look and sound way different. The quick rod is more high mid and my Pro Mod has more low end and balls. The Quick Rod still sounds great..We've had an all Splawn stage on the Pearcy tours for years now..the two amps compliment eachother. I want that Nitro up there!!!! I must have it!!! |

Even though Kevin has passed on (R.I.P.) I get the feeling that QR will tour at some point with a replacement. It may just be me, but as long as people want to hear their favorite songs/bands there will be a demand. Be ready when you get the call. Not a Carlos hater. The D. Patience my friend, patience. erik, how'd you end up hooking up with splawn back in '05? We were opening for Vince Neil @ the end of '02 in Atlanta and Scott's good friend Eddie was at the show letting Jason Hook use a Splawn. I was really impressed with the tone so in '03 Eddie got me an artist deal on one. Crazy Eddie was the connection there! In '05 I stopped in the shop and bought the Quick Rod. Now it's Nitro time!! |
